Cuernavaca, 4800+ ft., Morelos Mexico. / tree #2 flies over giving pitz-a calls + then joined by other + chatter. 0729 - chatter of pair #3 from N of gully again at 0732. song 0750 - ♂ of pair #2 sing l . . . . . once from top of partly degoliated tree 50-75 yds. uphill from tree #3. sits quietly in top for 205sec then disappears. chatter 0752 - chatter by pair #2 from area where ♂ sang. followed by 3 successive chattes by pair #3 on N. side of gully, but could uphill of top of tree #2. song 0754- nearly simultaneous chatter of pair # 3+ #2 - 180 yds apart N-S. 0807 - ♂ pair #2 sings once (several inter. notes) from tree where sang at 0750. then quiet for 20± sec. followed by pitz-a calls + chatter of pair #2. followed by chatter of pair #3 on N. side of gully. song chatter 0810 - pair #3 flies from gully vegetation into tree 70+ yds. W (uphill) of tree #2. no chatter + disappear. 0816 - ♂ (pair #3) up into same tree where sang 3 songs one after other. then foraged in tree as pair #2 chattered uphill followed by pair across gully. ♀ of pair #3 flew into tree from shrub thickets + gave 2 pitz-a calls no landing. Then bird wiped. ♂ foraged thru tree & ♀ moved to tree #2. ♂ flew down to join him giving pitz-a call. then chatter. Both began foraging in tree - one caught louse which regurgitated for short time + then failed knocking off part, then mandibulated & swallowed. Then flies to gully (top of 25 foot tree) followed closely by ♂. pitz-a notes as flying + while perched, but no chatter.. Then chatter as pair flies to N side of gully. Also chatter by pair farther up hill on N side.
