On bare branch extending beyond canopy. Then chatter + 2nd bird begins moving up to top of tree from 10 feet lower as pair #2 chatters. 0655 - pair #3 up into tree #2 when chattered - followed immediately by chatter from pair #2, both members of pair #3 began foraging in tree until I played short cut of chatter + they chattered. Followed by chatter from pair #1. Both of pair #3 flew over toward pair #1 then other chatter. 0702 - pitz-a calls from area #2 + chatter - then pitz-a from pair #3 near boundary of 2+3 + chatter by pair #3 in shrubs. 0716 - one of pair #3 flew downhill to tree #3 giving pitz-a calls. Followed in 10-15 sec. by chatter of pair #1. Bird continued pitz-a calls & was joined by a 2nd bird + chattered from tree #2. 0725 - pair #3 up into tree #2 where chattered followed by pair #1 chatter. Then I played back recording + pair #3 chattered again then flew uphill toward, hit in tree 16± yds uphill + chattered. Play back this + pair #3 flew over to wooded gully where chattered from shrubs.
