LL Wolf 1964 Augusta humeralis July 23 Cañon de Lobos, Pmi.E. Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico 0855 - walking thru under brush uphill 30+ yds from tree #3. Z began pitza notes loudly + rapidly in low bush 3-4 feet above ground both moved three cloud (woxy shrub cover to S. + than uphill so out in open at edge of "path" came in on "Pitzing" loudly one flew to N + then joined a third bird sitting quietly about 3 feet up near stem of shrub just W of me (10 feet) at edge of path". This first bird back to S to join other both sat "pitzaing" sharply + loudly about 7-5 feet up in shrubs. Both 15-20 feet away exposed. Third bird flew then heard loud l....... song from tree just uphill from pair. After 2 minutes one of pair moved into brush just below tree + was joined by bird from tree. Calls quieter + less fragment now (100%) At least two birds move to NW (uphill) in mid way of closed canopy 6-8 foot shrubs. Still pitzing but much less frequently. Heard /several times/ soft chip notes from where first saw adults Possibly have young out nest. During early part of disturbance (0908+) heard several chatter from area #3, July 24 Cañon de Lobos, Pmi.E. Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico 7500 +/- ft. 0610 - heard several pitza notes below + to S of tree #2 then pair #3 flew up into mid height of tree #2 + chattered. forested up turned top then one bird flew off to S + heard chatter from pair #1. 0613 - bird back into tree #2 + chatter - both facing S + one or soft flicking right wing. Then several chatter from pairs 1+2.
