LL Wolf 1964 Amphitula humeralis July 15 Canón de Lobos, Qre.E. Guanajuato, Morelos, Mexico Sounded as if maybe he's function of advertising a limited announcement. Have lost sight of bird watching. 0714- located again in same tree - was on bare horizontal limb 7' up (1" dia) sitting quietly with occas. soft chips. 2nd bird near ground on bare limbs at 20'. Worked up limb. 1st bird dropped down slightly + perched then back up. 0718- moved toward center of tree where joined by 2nd. 1st sat quietly while 2nd foraged in trees down into shrubs below. Mostly again on bare limbs between foliage seemed to move from shrub to shrub with no apparent plants missed. Once aware out to foliated tip of branch, did not see any captures in 20+ sec. As 2nd disappeared 1st dropped down one limb + perched. Began chipping softly then dropped down to shrubs + began foraging. 0733- one up into bare shrub - on branch 6' up near tip. sat quietly, until 0736 when both birds flew, nearly together, to same tree. One bird-wiped then sat quietly on horizontal bare branch 8' up. Other hopped to bare part of branch + pecked into foliage -then to another bare branch where bird-wiped. Then 1st flew off to N + lit on bare branch of shrub. Turned 180° + then disappeared. 2nd moved to N side of tree + followed. 0740- one flew out to E, uphill 30yds+ + lit on bare portion of horizontal branch 2" from main stem + 2½' up. Sat quietly. Other followed uphill + lit in similar shrub 15' downhill.
