Active singing. 8.6/min. fl(3-3), fl(3-3), fl(3-3), fl(3-3), fl(5-10) [push to ground], fl(10-3), fl(13-3), 40sec. fl(3-3), fl(3-4), fl(4-9), fl(9-3), fl(3 to ground min (3), perch(13), fl(12-3), all flight fl(3-3), fl(3-3), fl(3-3), fl(3-3), fl(3-3), fl(3-3), fl(3-3), fl(3-3), fl(3-3), fl(3-3) 1 min+ fl(3-3), fl(5-3), fl(3-13 to ground), fl(13-3), fl(3-13), fl(13-3), fl(3-3), 30sec. fl(3-3), fl(3-3), fl(3-3). one perch song came after O#2 had dropped to ground; just perch song before he reappeared O#3 or #4 to W. sang once. O#2 then jumped to top of perch 13 + gave perch song then launched out into flight song back to perch #3. 0617 - 0628. - 53 songs in 11 minutes. Fine flight in sec: 8/min 1-3 b.1, 4.8, 4.4, 4.6, ?, 5.4, 4.2, 4.6, 6.6, 4.4c?, 4.8, 4.8, 4.9, 5.1, 5.0, 4.6, 5.0, 3-62 12-9 8/3 4.6, 5.1, b.9, 5.9, ?, 6.0, 4.1, 4.1, 4.9, 5.1, 4.8, 4.6, 4.4, perch, 11.6, 3-fence the 6.6 sec. song flight followed some fidgeting on perch + than rather twisting flight to E. All this seemed to be in response to rapid series of soft chips from terr.#5. 6:31 - heard another bout of soft chips from terr.#5 + O#2 moved to 2nd to perch for song fights as far in that direction as while I watched him, then back to #3. 0641 - flushed 3 birds from 5 side of terr.#5. New on ground around Opeantia linifera + running mesquite, Acacia tortuosa in one divoid of face shrubs except for two scattered mesquite trees. Flew into area of 8' hackberries separated by small islands habitat + channels of grass. could hear rapid chips in bushes.
