June 26 Welder Wildlife Foundation, San Patricio Co., Texas
0932 - 8° flight song 50 yards to S. - just N. of road. Lit in hackberry where sang 2 stationary songs. Then flight song 46 yds. 6E.
Another 40yds. 8E. Both times lit in top of 6-7 foot mesquite bushes.
0937 - walked over to where last two "feedings" took place. flushed young bird from ground - center of clump of 1-2' mesquite. flew 40-50 yards SW. dropped around base of mesquite, at same time adult (??) flew into interior of mesquite 15 yards to NW, where sat silently. Had apparently been foraging on ground near this mesquite.
1000 - another territory 2W along road. 8° giving flight songs.

cas moved 50 yds. further west.
1008 - 8° back ~ 108 yds to where first seen. territory apparently ~ 10yds long along road. Covered whole distance in one flight. Gave one flight song then glided 20+yds. to almost ground level. Then went up to 20 yards in distance of 5-10 yds. glided back to mesquite 20+ yds further east.
1015 - after 4-5 perch-songs flew SW in 10 yd. high flight song, then flew about 3' off ground 40 yards farther. appeared to be going to land in short mesquite when went up into another flight song from which
