LHWolf 1964 5- Aimophila cassini June 26 Welder Wildlife Found, San Patricio Co., Texas 0854- adult in 5' hackberry on dead branch end 50 yds. E. of hackberry where last saw &. chitter / 0857- heard pair reunion chitter- single bird -+bird dropped to ground. 0858- ?(?) to top of hackberry (4') with grasshopper in fin. To 5 25-30 feet to top of 5' hackberry when sat with tail flicking then dropped to ground near base. difflech / 0903- adult up from ground near where ?dropped in (0855). Flw 10-15 yds. W + lit on top of 5-6' hackberry when gave chitter series. Then semicircular fight to S. ending with flutter take off of flight song as bird lit on top of mosquito, no song. heard faint chips + bird disappeared - presumably back to ground. chutter / flight & no song 0910- adult in from E., & dropped to ground at base of small clump of 2' high mosquito. (same area as where other adult dropped - ?food?) horizontal song chitter 0912- flew out to top of 4' hackberry 15 feet SsE. 0913 launched off to NW in nearly horizontal fluttery flight. bird fell sup + dropped into grass. 0916- flew out again ataly horizontal + a 6' up in flutter flight that culminated in chitter song just before landing.
