Once not version sure of situation; other after series of cluttring sounding like pair decision. escape 0722- bird flew to top of 2' hackberry where sat chirping softly. As I approached it flew to outer branches of hackberry + worked to interior; reappeared in 10-15 sec. near center, exterior of tree while sat chirpping. clutter 0725- go to N. 50 yds. went up into clutter flight song preceded by series of clutter notes at which bird I'm watching flew???. Ground cover in that direction. Bird has shifted slightly S.W. from 25-50yds further W heard clit. fl. song, but didn't see bird in flight. Young 0730- bird slowwatching sitting in top of hackberry with food good (grasshopper?) in bill. flies in floppy, tail-pumping flight to flight 50s 50 feet to another hackberry, then to base of mesquite as I approached 2 birds flushed from ground or several miles up in interior of 3 foot mesquites next to a hackberry. Both flew >100 feet. ? to N. young to W. ? then (0734) flies across mesquites to another, 80 feet S. Then to NW where lit near base of mesquite it is chirping softly but sharply. then 50 feet S. into line of mesquite. then (0738) low when dropped in at base of hackberry where originally seen. 0742- ? up into dead branches of 5' hackberry (2 up) where sat for about 1 min chirping softly then flew (jerky, pumping flight) 15 feet to East when dropped into clump of 1' mesquite. Then back to base of 1st hackberry while chirpping softly.
