Then drops to ground - shit chipping. 1029 - adult prob. saw one into hackberry with green sutherran. Nest # 2 yy ID: 80 x 50 deep OD /30 x 100 mm " " I empty 70 x 60 deep x 60 deep 1/3 - B 356 Fm-Fa " " 2 empty 75 x 75 x 15 " <OD/OS F=30 front Young in nest # 1 - gone; parents chipping nearby so presumably left of own accord. Collected on from 8 - young bird of different sizes one much younger than other (or smaller). feathers (flight) sprouting from sheaths on older. Sheaths only about 1/2 gone on younger. nest # 2 - egg + young gone - mob. predators, adults not evident while we measured nest. nest # 8 - on ground in slight depression in area of crab grass. placed near apex but under longest grasses of gooseyana within 3 feet. faced to NW. Sun shining on it at 1430. Fair, NW Port Isabel, Cameron Co., Texas Clear Airport Egg size all measurements ID 60 x 70 deep 1 21 x 16 in mm. OD 90 2 21 x 17 3 21.5 x 16 45 2/3 ground 4 21.5 16.5
