LLW01F 1964 26 Aimophila fletcheri July 10 Laguna Atascosa Refuge, Cameron Co., Texas 0851 - back to N. edge of Spartina where chipping. 0851.5 - flew (pumping flight) onto nest where silent for ~30 sec. Then out to barn area where stood chipping & then in toward Spartina. 0855 - silent & any have gone back to nest. 0859 - adult flies up from vicinity of nest & to W along shore for 15+ yds. lands at edge of clump of crabgrass when sits chipping. 0904 - adult carrying food sitting at top of 6' dead branch S. of road ~20 yds. (about due S of hackberry), chipping regularly. 0907 - flew across road to N. chipped several times & silent. Probably is in grass working toward nest. 0914.5 - adult into hackberry from across road to S. carrying food, food is different than 0904 adult. Changed to percline hackberry to N of where first landed & sat chipping. Then flew down to barn area ~ 1/2 way between Spartina's nest. Sat chipping hopped around in small area (~08
