July 10 Laguna Atascosa Refuge, Cameron Co., Texas
0628 - located adult 150-200 yds E of ten # 4 on N side of road. Chipping sharply + carrying food. was near top of 4' hackberry where branches bare.
0630 - still chipping - dropped lower in bush + flew 5-10 feet to E + into grass. Another adult flew into bush from E + began chipping - 1st then up into hackberry turns food + both chipping. flew off to E + both dropped into grass ~ 20' to E, then immediately up flying up flying just over tops of grass to E, dropped to ground ~ 40 yds to E of hackberry.

0645 - both adults up chipping + carrying food. one on S side of road. 40 ± yds, SE of hackberry + other on N side of road 75+yds to W of nest. one to W crosses road to 10±yds + slightly to E where is joined by 2nd bird. Both sit on dead perch chipping (6' up).
Then fly to NE cross road + land on 2' perch. 1st one then displaces 1st, 2nd chipping. One then flies to E ~ 80yds + drops into grass 10± yds W of hackberry - other bird on perch + still chipping. Then this one too flies to a same spot + drops into grass. 15'sec. later note bird flying E just below crest where land drops down to Laguna, flies along here mostly hidden from view for 75-80 yds + then turns in land + crosses road.
0650 - can hear chipping near when this bird crossed road.
0652 - two birds up chipping + one singing continuous long 100 yds E of hackberry, Near top of 6-7' dead branch. One bird slightly higher than other. Another bird across road + probably slightly farther S, also starts continuous song.
