habitat found 3 singing ♂♂ on plateau above Barranca de Obatos.
were in grazed pastureland & scattered shrubs + trees.
2 seen were on dead copious limbs singing. Birds
were spread at least 75-100 yards apart. Sawto 89.

August 6 ~15 miles W. Azuero de Matamoros, Puebla
habitat ♂ singing from electric wires along road in
thorn scrub with well-grazed grassy substrate.
Song was similar to birds around Tepic, Nayarit,
but lacked trill on end.
