Cucuaran, Morlos, Mexico 0940- adult chipping to NW of nest. 0941- adult to nest, apparently fed begging young then left after turning around with crown feathers raised as heard squeals from Aviculus Reference to 2yds SW of nest. 0943.5- adult chipping over nest, then quiet at 0944. 0959- adult in silently to nest when fed begging young. Chipped once with crown raised and flew off to NW - same way as came in. Young continued begging after adult left. 1027- adult in silently from NW with food, fed begging young + chipped several times as I shifted position & Rusty Sparrow squealed. Flew off to NWs 1028- chipping bird worked along tree, 20% above horizontal 3" diam. Branch. then onto almost vertical 8" dia. free trunk. worked up from 15 to 4+ feet above ground before leaving. 1030- adult chipping just NW of nest. 1031- to nest, fed yj, then to bottom of nest. Flew off silently to NW with empty bill. 1051.5- adult to nest. young beg & continued begging for 5+sec. got adult. Leaves only at nest 10+ sec. 1052.5- adult to nest, chip once & leaves as I look up. young continue begging for 5+sec, after adult has disappeared to NW. 1112- adult to nest silently from NW. first seen in thicket 3 feet away + then to nest. young begging of the adult lands on nest. Young continue begging while adult sits on rim then quiet. Adult reaches to bottom of nest + young beg again & continue begging as adult flies, empty-mouthed, off to NW. when chips 15+ yds from nest- then quiet.
