misa la Huerta, Vallico km. 11/1k on Mer. 80.
& to 3-4 feet above then to directly above (2-3 feet)
when hidden from view. gives finny courtship call &
probably was giving display. & deep inside nest can
still see her at bottom, but top pretty much complete.
Has been no further activity at nest 2. (09/10)
09/10 - & come in alone + lands coat nest material
visible 50 feet to west & below nest. 09/11 - flies to nest &
inside. 09/12 - & drops down to shrub layer vegetation
below + & 2 of nest.
09/15 - & up from shrub layer with nest material. followed
from nearby by & she into nest entrance & dives
immediately into shrub layer below nest. then back
up followed by & who perches on horizontal limb
4 feet above nest. & remains silent until I start to
write notes + have lost track of activities.
#2072 - molt - primaries 1+2-new #3 1/2grown #4 - just coming
vest old.
marginal coverts molting.
2°- innermost new; rest old.
body plumage worn - some pin feathers on lower back.
