LWOLF 1963 August 5 Vircolarius miliostophys Found family group of 4 moving thru pine-oak woods at ~50 feet from ground. After I collected first one others began harsh mewing call which sounded like a cat but not so soft. Collected all four. Soft part colors on young: bill: dark brown above, flesh & dark brown tip below. iris: bluish & little green around pupil. legs: flesh Adult: bill - black iris - yellow legs - flesh. #2167- Body & wing molt. #2169- had remains of some type caterpillar as adult or. possibly fed to it by adult. #2168- molt primaries 1-3 new #4 old. #5-10 - just emerging secondaries new quater coverts mooting rectrices #1- 3/4 grown #2 - just emerging rest old heavy body molt. Apparently not a family group
