LLWOF 1964 Journal June 26 Welder Wildlife Foundation, San Patricio Co., Texas Dick drove back to area where we collected yesterday to try to get some specimens. Then he drove into town to buy groceries. Back to pick me up at 0845, I decided to stay longer & walked by each. Back by 1145. He had already started to prepare specimens so we worked until 1300. Had lunch & back to finish skinning. Then I went back to watch sparrows (15:30) while Dick washed clothes & made supper. I worked on # across road (lot-2) from where worked in morning. Got a little more confused + some advance on understanding. Part of difficulty probably lie in the presence of full grown young still with the adults. Hard to (impossible) recognize these individuals in the field, so some noted behavior may be between young + adult. Wrote notes until 1830 when redcapper: Dia didn't finished notes & to bed at 2030.
