LLW014 1964 Journal June 14 Tucson, Pima Co., Arizona Dick mostly hunted in oaks thick along stream then camp ground. Found several pairs of Lark Sparrows, crowns, three Cactus Wrens, several small groups of Mexican Jays, a pair of Blue-gray Gnatcatchers. Met at the car & drove back to Tucson. Put up birds until 1400 - Dick until 1600. His first two birds were a Mexican Jay + Crissal Thrasher. Thrasher took about 2 1/2 hrs, but came out very well. Bought a few more groceries. There had supper. Packed car in cool of evening preparatory to leaving for Texas tomorrow. Let the Phrynosoma out of the bag today & found a dry, solid pellet (> 1
