August 20 2 mile Tapanatepec to Oaxaca Oaxaca
except for many lianes it is easy walking. There
is little ground vegetation. Collected here until

including a group of 3 adult 0800. Scheduled in
at least 4 adult 07 Rosita Buntings, plus 1? +
1 imm. 07. They have Passerina chip like
Indigo Bunting. Also found Thryothorus
pleurostictus to be very common in vine
jangles + brushy areas.
Drove toward Tapanatepec about 6 miles when
purpered birds + had lunch. Then to Tehuantepec
to have car serviced (44450). Early in afternoon
so decided to drive on to Oaxaca City to be part
way toward Cuernavaca. Arrived Oaxaca at 1800.

place to have tire repaired. Had supper on main
plaza downtown. Took room in Hotel Margarita.
