Gas; grease + oil- 43484.1 - Cuernavaca, Morelos.
Up at 0815. Still dark as we drove to Cation de Rosas.
Had Breakfast + then hunted in drier end of canyon
for Aimophila humeralis. Still further along road found
chattering Aimophila ruficauda. Hunted for about an hour
then drove back about 1 mile toward Cuernavaca + hunted
in canyon. There is a trail that runs all along creek in
bottom of canyon. Vegetation is fairly dense with trees
up to 60-75 feet. Much of canyon appears to have been cut
over but is coming back. Saw family groups of Seturus
prosetetus, Turdus assimilis + collected a juvenile
Myiopagra viridicata. Found & Chlorostilbon canivetii
building a nest + a pair of Achimolophus mexicanus feeding
nestlings. Also juvenile Catharus aurantirostris.
Went back to drier area east of canyon to skin birds.
Heard Aimophila ruficauda chattering in legume areas.
Prepared Birds then back to Cuernavaca to have car
greased + oil changed. After supper drove North on
the free Mex. 95 to a point mi. E. of Tres Cumbres.

this pine-oak area. Hope for Aimophila safocosa
