LL Wolf 1963 52 Journal. August 2 cont'd. of same species. Saw some immature Siskins there. Just after collecting a Siskin, a pair of Sparkling-tailed Hummingbirds went thru courtship display about 30 feet away over roof. A family group of White-throated Robins was feeding in dense tangle in shrubby second growth. A young bird, full- grown, collected had blue berries in throat. 6+ Gray Sibley Flycatchers moved thro oaks along road. 2 young in post-juvenal molt were collected - one had whole digestive tract full of mistletoe berries. Watched both adult Grace's Warblers around full grown young. Not sure if both feeding. Back to car to prepare specimens. Discovered this spot to be a bus-stop + point where two trails intersect roof. So had visitors most of the day. Began to cloud up & thunder about 1500. Went back to field until 1630. Collected a Berg-thim Hummingbird which John is going to preserve in formalin for a graduate student at Michigan. Began to rain about 1730 as I finished writing notes. Area is mainly oak woodland much of which has been cleared & is coming back in shrubby 2nd growth. Few short needled pines on hill sides. infernoes habitat.
