Journal June 27 9:45 am - 39394.9 mileage at time of leaving camp in n. foothills of Huachucas (39395.8 at west gate of Ft. Huachuca Military Post). Up into field at 0575. June 27 talked with Mr. Koch + found E.T. Hooper from Museum of Zoology Ann Arbor, Michigan. Talked to them for short time + watched hummingbirds coming to feeder. Drove on to campsite, had supper, helped John put up his birds then wrote notes. While having supper in this canyon bottom - right near streambed - we heard Myiarchus fuscus + Amorphila vaga's calling. Also Bridled Titmouse, Arizona Jay, + Painted Redstart
