arrived at Wilmot Rd. locality at 0845. Set up the

catch + color-band Aimophila carpalis. Managed
to catch 2 + hed one other tounge off net. Also
cought a very [illegible] Lucy Warbler + Curve-billed Thrasher.
Returned to Tucson, bought groceries preparatory
to leaving later this afternoon for SE part of Arizona
+ adjacent New Mexico.
Shiny Rufous-wing Sparrows
The only other species that regularly forage
on the ground in this area are Brown Towhees,
Gilded Flicker, Curve-billed Thrasher + probably
the Cardinals. I would guess that the only
species using same food source would be the
Brown Towhee.
Mesquite is favorite foraging spot for Lucy
Warbler, Verdin, Black-tailed Gnatcatcher, Hooded
Oriole (down low).
