Deer.
Oct. 22-23-1932-5 miles East Grace,
Bannock & 3daho.-alt. 7000 ft.
I joined a deer hunting party
who were hunting from a camp
located in the Bear River range
of mountains just east of grace, Idaho.
This out range is a national forest
and game preserve area, but the
hunting was done just outside the
boundary of the preserve. About
twelve hunters operated from
this single base and eight deer,
five does and three fawns were
taken out by this party alone,
during the five day hunting season.
The take was legitimate, and
within the Idaho law, which
permits taking of any sex or age.
But I believe this procedure
will very quickly deplete the
deer population in this general
region.
