fallow Pocket Gophers:— A student, Arnold Richmond, living on Pink Creek about 2 miles above its junction with the Portneuf River, reported pocket gophers very common in the hillside pastures along the creek. This creek empties into the Portneuf River eight miles south of Pocatello. Camp Lendoy, is located about 10 or 12 miles up this creek near its source, where the known altitude is 6300 feet. I would estimate the altitude of this farm to be 5000 ft. On a period of 3 weeks— April 17-1929—to May 7, 1929, this boy trapped 210 specimens in this vicinity. They all appear to be of the small species taken around Camp Lendoy. A summary of this lot is as follows.— (over)
