#3. This is the deepest tunnel of the three. About 1000 ft deep. We located 7 Corynorhinus 2 Myotis. all of these bats were clinging to the walls or in crevices comparatively near the mouth of the tunnel. The first was discovered 50 ft from the mouth, then they we[re] scattered along the next 10 feet. The individual further back was about 130 ft from the opening. Temperature in this area - 5 degrees C. About 700 ft of the near of the tunnel is very damp, with water dripping from the ceiling. We went to the end of the tunnel where the temperature was 10 degrees C. I have never found bats in or beyond this wet section.
