Bats. Mar. 30 - 1929.-City Creek. Visited a single tunnel, 200 ft deep, located about 2 1/2 miles west of Portello along City Creek. No bats were taken, but 3 school boys definitely reported having killed a very large eared specimen in the mine on Sat, Mar, 23. This establishes the presence of these bats in all tunnels with which I am acquainted within a radius of 10 miles of Portello. This data would indicate that winter presence of these bats was not peculiar to a single small group of holes. ##
