Trip made to mine 4 mi. east of Portello.
One long eared sheamer -
cat. no 13; f taken in
mine B.
One little Brown Bat Cat. #12
taken in mine C.
Mine C is about 1200 ft. deep.
As our party went deeper
into the tunnel, a third
sheamer was seen flying.
It passed repeatedly over us,
but efforts to bat it
with caps and hats were
unsuccessful
