Bato December 8, 1928. Made collecting trip to Portneuf Siding - 8 miles south of Poratello and examined a series of [illegible] mine tunnels grouped rather close together, half probably 10 in a radius of one mile. Seven tunnels were examined. Three long eared bats were collected; all from separate tunnels. cold, sunny day; temperature below freezing; night temperatures running as low as 10 degrees above zero.
