Bats Nov. 24 - 1928. Trip to mines A, B and C. Bright sunny day; temperature about freezing. Mine A was closely checked and no specimens taken. Mine B:- One long eared bat collected; 50 ft from entrance. Mine C: Three long eared bats collected; one little brown bat. All five of these specimens were placed into a screen cage 18" x 12" x 8", and left near the ceiling of the tunnel of Mine C, about 150 ft from the entrance. All of these bats except one became restless as soon as they were placed in the cage, and fluttered about. Observations: Mine A has no caved sections where observation is inaccessible. Mine B. has a caved section of the ceiling which cannot be
