hours after being taken; stomach
empty; length of intestines 115
m.m.; intestines empty except
about 20 m.m. of colon, which
contained black, sticky excreta.
This specimen was very fat.

Four of these specimens were
caged in a warm laboratory and
left alive. Three lived ten days
and the last died in 14 days.
Metabolism was probably hastened
tending to exhaust a residue food
supply!
