Field Trips.
Oct. 16-17-1931.
Friday. A.M. Oct 16, drove to
a point on am. Falls highway,
5 1/2 miles S.W. of Michaud and
set 13 gopher traps along
rail road right of way;
crossed over north of highway
and placed 30 mouse traps for
chip munks in sage bush about
1/2 mile from road; returned
to Bannock creek, 2 1/2 miles
south west of Michaud and
placed 4 gopher traps and 10
mouse traps. - - - -
Returned Friday P.M.; looked at
part of gopher traps - no catch.
Got one chip munk in trap at
Bannock creek; placed 20 more
mouse traps near Bannock
creek.
At Bannock creek the mouse
and gopher sets were placed in
a very small soft sand
area where the sand was
drifted some.
Returned Sat. noon and
collected all sets; caught.
