" 0 3 - Chipmunks. " 2. We were late collecting specimens Sun. A.M. and chipmunks were caught after daylight. All Kangaroo Rats were in traps on the sand dunes. The one pocket mouse was taken on the clay soil away from the sand dunes. Chipmunks caught in both locations. No Lagurus or Grasshopper mice taken. Saw 1 coyote on way out Sat 8 P.M. about midway between Michaud and river bluff. Saw - 6 Blacktail Jacks. 4 chipmunks not collected. Buffalo Skull - fragment picked up near this homestead site. Cat.
