Tuesday trip - June 7, 8 & 9. Pine Squirrels: Tall fir trees abundant; six specimens were taken with 4.10 gun during daylight. They did a great deal of barkling. Flying Squirrel, One specimen taken from fir woods during daylight Chipmunk. One specimen taken in snap trap from hole under large rock; caught in daylight. Others were observed during hike up Scout mt: 9000ft alt. Peromyscus Apparently very abundant; fourteen were taken in 20 traps June 7.; clear night; some taken around near buildings; others around dead logs in woods. No mice taken. Thirteen taken June 8 in 18 traps. Jumping mice. Two taken in snap traps in woods June 9. More taken June 7.
