downy woodpecker were seen, one winter wren
was heard. Back at the car at 1 p.m. we ate
lunch and then drove back to Berkeley. At 2:15 p.m.
we were back at M.V.Z. Today we drove 28+ miles,
walked 6 + miles. Total no. of species birds seen 31,
total no. of mammal species seen 1.
