illabione 1988 Journal Genetics at a micro scale. We are interested in the successip of mitochondria DNA lineages as well as the frequency of the different types (clones) of mtDNA. Traps are being checked at 2200, and again at 0600. Location of individuals captured will be in the catalog. 17 Sept West Slope Walker Pass, New Co, 4600 ft We checked all 4 trap lines last night and caught 25 D. p. moharensis Line D has 38 traps, caught 4 rats by 2252 hrs. Line B had 40 traps & caught 7 rats by 2319 hrs. Line A had 39 traps & caught 9 rats by 2340 hrs. Line C had 39 traps & caught 5 rats by 0007 hrs. Those traps that caught rats were removed and not replaced, so that all sites had an equal probability of catching one rat. We chose this strategy since the snap traps used in 1917 were not replaced once they trapped a rat. The traps were checked again at dawn. 30 traps on line A caught
