Journal there appeared to be a broad faced Krot, probably D. heermanni swathli, though Benvy would not allow me to empty cheek pouches, and none were collected. These latter 2 species would always head for vegetation even Yucca) once released. Finally, we caught one white-footed mouse (Peromyscus maniculatus) from which I collected ear tissue for documentation purposes. The ecological, behavioral and systematic relationships of these clipsodmys would be interesting to investigate.
