Villablanca 1992 Journal 27 Oct way under shrubs. At Banning Ridge top, not slope) caught 2 Dipodomys (agilis or simulans)-not sure since am hoping to find contact zone between these 2 species and their 2 karyotypic forms), 6 Perognathus, 7 Peromyscus maniculatus and 1 P. truei. At ~~ Badlands site caught: 3 Dipodomys (agilis or simulans), 3 Peromyscus maniculatus, 3 P. truei, 1 Neotoma fuscipes, and 7 Chaetodipus. The Cajon line in the wash produced 7 Chaetodipus, 1 P. maniculatus and 4 N. fuscipes. The latter had small houses (more like burrows) under small leafless tail cactus. The line on the mesa above the wash caught 4 Peromyscus manicul., 4 Perognathus and 1 N. fuscipes. No K-rats. I moved the traps about 1/4 mile NW to an area just N. of the wash, next to the Road, and just S. of a KOA camp. Site is 0.8 mile E. Denoso, San Bern. Gs, 2040 ft. Here the vegetation is coastal sage, with Calif sage, deer weed & Eriogonum 28 Oct Denoso trap line caught 3 Dipodomys
