Along the Temescal Canyon Trail
from 1/2 mile E of eagle spring
to 1.75 mile SE of eagle spring
(along trail) saw lots of
sign of Dipodomys agilis.
Burrows, tail drags, foot
prints and sand bathing
sites were common. Soil
is silty clay. Parent material
is sandstone. Vegetation is
primarily southern chaparral,
with scattered grassland +
riparian (oak) canyons.
