Thacher 1960 Empidonax wrighti June 27 2 mi. E Hobart Mill, 6000 ft, Alexander Co., Ceeil. Collected one male in fairly dense Jeffrey pine (small trees 3'-8' high with a few larger trees in the vicinity) about 1/2 mi. E of our camp here. The bird was only about 18" above the ground when I shot him, June 28 Collected both these on the top of the ridge W of Campfire (about 14 mi away). The female was v. low in some small firs. The male was about 8 feet. This area was mixed pine (Jeffrey) and white fir.
