We never sets her earlier in the afternoon. When
we checked later this evening we had our gopher (0578997)
This locality is at the edge of this broad lush valley.
A forest of yellow pines comes down to the North and
a tongue of trees extends out into the valley a little
to the W. A knoll to the E is also tree covered.
Right here there is an open grove of maples.
Much of the valley is cultivated pasture, several fields
are plowed and may be planted to something else. The
soil is black, moist, and slightly sandy.
