Thommys mayamee P. 2 July 28 Moosehead Creek, 4750+ ft., T39N, R1E sec.36 Shasta Co. Calif. as are oriented coming from Rt. 879. The stream flows from right to left, (approx W to E across the) road. There has been logging here and the gopher works are in cleared areas & grass and brush. The surrounding forest is cedar and fir for the most part. July 29. Red Mtn., 5400+ ft. 6.3 mi. E, 5.0 mi W. Big Bend, T38 N R2E sec. 31 NE 1/4 Shasta Co. Calif Collected 2 gophers in about 10 sets last night. A small stream crosses the road here. We trapped just E of the road, in grassy places near the stream. Vegetation was aspen(locally & conifer forest - firs and pines adjacent.
