Thomomys bottae canus
July 20 High Rock Ranch, 40 40 ± H. T28N R17E Sec 25 Lessm (½ mile)
This evening & took a gopher of this subspecies here in one of
the sets I had out in the plowed cultivated fields S of the
ranch. This area is in the flat desert floor of the
Honey Lake Valley. The soil is light colored and fealy sandy-
easy digging in this field at least.
