Sta, 3.7mic NW Hobart Mills, 6300', Nevada Co., Calif the brush fields to set traps, then back to the rock slide so they could set traps for woodrats, I shot a couple of chipmunks After supper I skinned Dr. Bensen's two gophers Turned in about 10:30 PM. Oct.9 Sage Glen Creek Station to Berkeley, Calif Up about 6:45 AM. Cold - down to 70°F this A M. Drove the students around to pick up traps. Results were poor - a few chipmunks, some Peromyscus maniculatus and some gophers. It began to snow slightly about 8 A M., and continued until about 10 AM. but this left only a slight white on the ground here. Up higher the trees could be seen to have a gray cast from the snow. I put up another of Dr. Bensen's gophers. About 2 P.M., we left for Berkeley arriving here about 7:30 P M despite some car trouble.
