Elysian Valley, 5.3mi.S, 0.3 mi E Johnsterville, Lassen Co, Calif
Together right outside our tent last evening. The wind of
the previous 12 hrs or so brought a little rain and snow
at elevations about 500's above us. As I checked some
other traps nearby this A.M. I came across a
porcupine wandering around in a field. Together
we managed to get him into a box and nail some
slats on it.
We drove out of the valley at about
10:30 and headed back toward Gold Run Creek.
There are lots of gopher mounds in the
tongue of the Henry Lake Valley that reaches

Ranch, Jack Cleana's Boys Camp. This locality is 3.0mi.
S Johnsterville, 4440+ ft Lassen Co., Calif. We got
another redout near Peter Hassen's grave- a big

gopher working, T. laurenti. Upon returning
to Latices' placem Gold Run Creek we found
we had a good series of T. battae and one T. monticola

valley)

(Mrs. Holms)
woman we spoke to said she remembered them and
