Thacker 1958 Species account. Neotoma lepida July 5 32 mi W Vallecite Stage Station, San Diego & CO. Took one of these beast in one of 7 schylers set among the large boulders at the west end of [illegible] Vallecite Valley. The traps were baited with dates. July 16 Had a record female in the same locality this A.M. July 16. Trumco Mines, @ 700 ft., Imperial Co. A check of the trapline mentioned w.r.t Perognathus (see sp.acc. of P. spinatus for further details) spinatus, also yield one of this species. (553) July 17 Another ? from the same trapline, (618) This proper cured prepared later. July 18 A third from the same trapline (622). All three of these have been taken in traps along the edge of the dry wash, not far (@ 35 yards max.) from the base of a rocky slope.
