Two bats (sp?) were seen by V. Lewin et al. at dusk on
the 29th Sept.

Field trip to Pt. Reyes, Marin Co. E Jay Schnell. Left
Berkeley at 6 A.M., arrived at Pt. Reyes ab. 9:30 A.M. Left 12:30 P.M. arrived
at Berkeley at 2:45 P.M. Weather fair with early morning
fog at Pt. Reyes, clearing by 10:30 AM. Rt. via San Rafael and
Rt 10 to Novato.
Horned Owl dead on road 4 mi E of Pt Reyes Sta. (one wing taken)
Beata? yellow legs, keltlet (2) and hilleden seen on tributary
to Tomalilas Bay between Pt. Reyes Sta and Lumerness. Two Banded-Tailed
Pigeons at same local. 3 dols seen 1 mi North west of Pt Reyes Sta.
Grey fox seen crossing road 3 mi West of Lumerness.
Point Reyes, ocean side North of light (1/2 mi.) Baird's
Cormorant at sea and on rocks 5 or 10 seen throughout AM.
Brown Pelicans (15 approx) seen various occasions over ocean. Sixteen
surf scoter off shore. 8 ado 9 minn. First seen about 400 yds. out, resting,
approached to 50 yds of shore while feeding. Usually entire flocks drove together
