Journal Page 6 Jan 11 Left Berkeley at 11:30 AM after completing the loading of the truck at the home of Mr. [illegible] Stopped at Davis Corner to pick up two troops for gopher from O. Traveled Continued on at about 12:00 PM on 894W. Stopped for coffee / lunch at about 2:30. Weather was overcast and light drizzle in Bay Area, and fair in the valley. Reached Redding shortly after 6 PM and stopped for supper. Cookout Nov 11th. Stopped at public camp ground at Bailey Cove to repair the truck. Since the camp ground was crowded and the weather was very stormy we decided against spending the night there. Continued on to Mt Shasta of Mt Shasta, arriving about 10:30. Again stopped for coffee in town. Since the weather was "" threatening we took a room in the Club Hotel. The clerk at the desk saw opportunity to black. Approximate "most dark clouds were little more than Dampas However, one he really not sure from the uncertainty that were collected Gopher he began rain talking. He considered numerous questions about gopher and some wrote it takes information that the weather being from but he was very happy to answer everything. A day later we moved forward to our next point.
