There were several Chickadees in the woods this morning. Spent the rest of the day putting up specimens. Got a good bath in the stream this evening - Wow! what ice-water. The two Kingfishers and (Merquises) flew over the clearing this evening, these and a very occasional Spotted Sandpiper seems to constitute all the river-life there is around here.
