Rosstoren 1945 Blade-footed Albatross 4.b. Mays. "S.S. Alfred Victory" a total of fifteen albatrosses in sight at once between 7 & 10 miles west of the Farallones. Approximate position of bill in normal flight -> June 26. "S.S. Adelphi Victory" First albatross seen 2.75 miles west of point Bonita. The closest in to date. About 7 miles beyond the Farallones saw a white- rumped albatross (which was moulting) sitting on the water eating a sinkle fish 8 or 9" long. a gull lit nearby but the albatross ate the fish without interference.
