July 29 Naval Ammunition Depot, Lake Denmark, Morris Co., N.J.
Arrived late P.M. to visit H.V.Ges. collected ferns on the
Base and watched deer come down to drinks at the pond
by which the house was located. Typical traprock
country = deciduous woods. Returned to So Orange
on the 30th.
Aug. 2. Andover Let, Sussex Co., New Jersey.
Visited fern locality in limestone country near
Andover Let. collected Triturus there in wet
deciduous woods on limestone.
Aug. Island Beach, Ocean County, New Jersey, 3 trips5 end of
road to Barnegat inlet - a mile or a mile & a half.
